Swindon Town have signed Arsenal defender Daniel Boateng on loan until the end of the season. The Gunners' reserve team captain, 19, was close to joining the Robins in the summer but a deal could not be agreed. He signed a new deal with the Premier League club in November after making his first senior appearance in the Carling Cup win over Bolton in October. Meanwhile, striker Mehdi Kerrouche could be on his way out of the club after just six months. The 26-year-old Algerian signed a two-year contract in the summer and has scored eight goals in 18 appearances. But he has not played since the start of December and is believed to be training away from the rest of the squad. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16651257.stm
